About the Role
We are looking for a talented SEO Copywriter to join our team at Alderley Park. This is a role for a storyteller who understands the science of search—someone who can craft compelling narratives that engage humans while satisfying the technical requirements of Google algorithms.
At Venn, we don't just build websites; we build careers platforms and digital experiences that transform how companies hire. You will be the voice for both our own brand and a diverse portfolio of B2B clients, ensuring that every piece of content drives visibility, authority, and measurable commercial results.
If you are tired of the city centre commute or simply want to work out in the country side with Paddle Courts, a gym, forrest walks and a lake….check us out !
Continuous Learning & Development:
We believe in investing in your growth. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to undertake a Content Creator Apprenticeship, allowing you to expand your skill set, gain formal accreditation, and continue developing as a well-rounded digital content professional.
About Venn
Venn is a unique hybrid: part digital agency, part SaaS product. We are the team behind Vennture, a market-leading platform that powers recruitment websites for brands and agencies across the globe.
We moved our HQ to the Glasshouse at Alderley Park to escape the "rat race" of Manchester and offer our team a better quality of life. We believe in:
- Outcomes over outputs: We don't micromanage. We trust you to do the job.
- Supportive empowerment: We give you the tools and freedom to own your work.
- Unconscious competence: We strive to be the best at what we do, naturally.
Key Responsibilities
As our SEO Copywriter, you will work closely with our Performance, Strategy, and Technical teams to produce high-quality content. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Content Creation: Writing high-quality, long-form content (blogs, whitepapers, guides) and short-form copy (landing pages, meta descriptions) that adheres to brand tone of voice.
- SEO Optimisation: Implementing on-page SEO best practices, ensuring content is optimised for target keywords, readability, and user intent.
- Keyword Research: assisting the strategy team in identifying content gaps and opportunities to rank for high-value terms.
- Content Refreshing: Auditing and updating existing content to improve performance and maintain relevance.
- CMS Management: Uploading and formatting content directly into the CMS (experience with WordPress or similar platforms is essential; training on Vennture will be provided).
- Performance Analysis: Using tools like Google Analytics and SEMrush to monitor how your content is performing and adapting your approach based on data.
About You
We are looking for potential and attitude as much as experience. You should be a "self-starter" who seeks forgiveness rather than permission.
Essentials:
- Proven Writing Ability: You have a portfolio of work demonstrating clear, error-free, and engaging copy.
- SEO Knowledge: You understand the fundamentals of SEO (keywords, internal linking, headers, meta tags) and why they matter.
- Adaptability: You can switch tones of voice seamlessly—from technical B2B reports to friendly, candidate-facing blog posts.
- Attention to Detail: You are a stickler for grammar, spelling, and formatting.
- Curiosity: You are eager to learn about the recruitment and tech industries.
Desirables:
- Experience working in a digital agency or SaaS environment.
- Familiarity with SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz).
- Basic understanding of HTML (for formatting content).
